This Privacy Policy explains what information stevegracy.com (the “Site”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site is run by Steve Gracy Photography, based in Wichita, Kansas.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address, username, and password (passwords are stored encrypted; we can’t see them).
- Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact or booking forms.
Payment information
- Payments are handled by PayPal. We do not receive or store your card or bank details.
- PayPal shares limited details with us so we can set up and manage your membership, such as your name, email, the plan you bought, payment dates and amounts, and a transaction or subscription ID.
- PayPal’s use of your information is covered by PayPal’s Privacy Statement.
Information collected automatically
- Cookies: we use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your session, and remember that you’ve confirmed you’re 18 or older. These are needed for the Site to work.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are located. This uses cookies and collects information such as your IP address, browser, and device type. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Security logs: we use security tools (Wordfence and Sucuri) to protect the Site from hacking and abuse. These tools record information such as IP addresses, login attempts, pages requested, browser details, and the time of each visit.
How we use your information
- To create and run your membership account and give you access to the member area.
- To process and manage subscriptions with PayPal, and to match payments to accounts.
- To answer your questions and send important messages about your account, such as billing notices or changes to our policies.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent fraud, and stop account sharing or content theft.
- To understand how the Site is used so we can improve it.
- To meet legal requirements.
If we ever send news or promotional emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.
We don’t sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help run the Site, such as our web host (Bluehost), PayPal, Google Analytics, and our security services (Wordfence and Sucuri), and only as needed for them to do their job;
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our members, or the models; and
- A new owner, if the business is ever sold or transferred, under the same protections.
How long we keep it
- Account information: for as long as your account exists. After you cancel, we keep it for up to 12 months in case you rejoin, then delete it unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
- Payment records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require (often up to 7 years).
- Security logs: usually kept for a short time, typically 90 days, unless needed to look into a problem.
- Backups: copies of the Site’s database are kept for a limited time for disaster recovery and are replaced on a rolling basis.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that’s wrong; or
- delete your account and personal information.
To make a request, email stevegracy@protonmail.com from the email address on your account, so we can confirm it’s you. We’ll reply within 30 days. Deleting your account ends your access to the member area. Please cancel your PayPal subscription too, so you aren’t billed again. We may need to keep some records, such as payment records, where the law requires it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but logging in to the member area won’t work without them.
Depending on where you live, you may have extra privacy rights under your local law. Contact us and we’ll help.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), security plugins, and limited access. No website is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Adults only
The Site is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and let members know about significant changes.
